TETON SCIENCE SCHOOLS Most of the Jackson courses held in January, February, and March will be held at the Teton Science Schools, which has entered into a cooperative agreement with AAI and Exum to promote avalanche education. Teton Sceince Schools was founded in 1967. Since that time, they have been educating, training, and inspiring students of all ages about the natural world. They enjoy a reputation as an innovative environmental education organization, and their programs serve as models worldwide.

To reach the school from the 4-way light at Albertson's in Jackson, drive west on Hwy 22 seven tenths of a mile. The school turn off is on your right and is hard to see in the dark. Follow the drive one quarter mile to the parking area on your right. The classroom is in one of the buildings to the north.

RESCUE BEACONS Each participant must have a rescue beacon for field sessions. These are available for sale at mountain and ski shops. Check your local shop for availability of rental units.

ALTA COURSES There is the possibility of road closures at Alta due to avalanches. Course participants not at Alta when the road is closed may miss portions of the course.
